MEETING MINUTES FOR THE SCPN STEERING COMMITTEE
DATE: JULY 18, 2004
LOCATION: DOUG AND KATHRYN1 S HOUSE

Chairperson present, Secretary: Katy
Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm.
Directors Present: Bjorn, Kathryn, Katy, Juan, Corvus, Joe, Shay
Directors Absent: Keswyn
Quroum is met.


1. New Business

A. Treasurer

1. Corvus: There was $340 in our account as of 4/30/04. There was $740.12 as of 6/30/04.Organizing Events

B. Social

1. Joe is leaving for military duty. The party for him will be Friday, 8/13, at The Rose.

2. Kathryn to try to book two camp sites at Bodeg Dunes for September.

3. Shay - a shaman will be doing a talk/trance journey for the August meeting.

4. Board plans a barbecue for September without a speaker.

5. The person organizing an event will keep track of it. That person/persons will retain the contact numbers for speakers, etc. and present the speaker/speakers at the event itself. They will contact the webstaff to post it on the calendar unless they know how to do it themselves and it is allowed.


C. Public Relations

1. Business Memberships: Shay - work in progress

D. Webmistress

1. Ferne is very ready to step down. We need to locate another person.


E. Domain Name

1. Juan is to get the domain name from Johnathan and have it placed in the SCPN1s name.

F. Elections

1. Nominations are open in September for 9 members. Of those 9, there are positions of Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer that are open.

G. Non-profit status

1. Gypsy has a 501 (c)(3) status.He will research the possibility of our being a social organization under the umbrella of his organization. He will report at the next business meeting.


H. Board Members - Interim
1. Due to the loss of several members currently and in the near future, we elect and approve the following as temporary board members until the October elections:
Board Members: Gypsy, Rhiannon, and Felina. Rhiannon is the Social coordinator.
